Our Story

How Alice describes Aseem: True to the meaning of his name, it’s hard to limit Aseem’s charm, cuteness and sense of humor by boundaries. He has swept me off my feet by his singing, dancing, cooking and other infinite talents which I would love to discover in our lives together. He is the sweetest person and I pinch myself everyday.”

How Aseem describes Alice: “Alice is like a breath of fresh air. I can starkly remember the first time I talked to her and how much I was impressed by her honesty and humor. She can be goofy one day and say the most insightful thing on the other. She surprises me everyday and I am looking forward to spending the rest of my life with her.”

How they met: One fine Sunday afternoon Aseem texted Alice the most cliched message ever “Hi, Alice I got your number from your parents”.
That 10 minutes conversation, in a few days, was followed by an 8-hour long phone call.
They first met in Singapore and it was almost like a fairy tale!!!- “Alice in Wonderland”. The drama that led unto that trip can give a Bollywood masala movie a run for its money. Until 2 days before the trip, they had almost cancelled it. If you would like to know more come to the wedding and they would be happy to share the story with all of you.

How he knew: “It was in the first few days of texting and FaceTime that I noticed an infinity tattoo on her ankle. It was at that time I knew that I want to marry this girl and I took that as a cosmic signal.“
P.S - To give you all a little context, the meaning of Aseem is “infinite”.

How she knew: “I can't say there was an exact moment for me. I truly realized this when we were taking our flights back home from Singapore. I couldn’t stop thinking about dancing with him in the streets of Clarke Quay or how he said “I love Universal Studios” and my heart skipped a beat because I thought he was going to say “I love you” and I realized I was disappointed that he didn’t say it. I guess the thing that made it "click" in my head is that I started picturing our future together, and then all of a sudden I couldn't picture a future alone.“

The proposal: Aseem was coming back to India few months later to meet Alice’s family. Alice gave him a surprise and came to the Delhi airport to pick him up but she didn’t know that Aseem had planned a surprise for her swell. On the long drive to Ludhiana, Aseem with the help of Pranav planned a beautiful rooftop dinner date where he popped the question! The rest is history.
